Samsung sound bar subwoofer no real volume

hey folks, i have the Samsung Crystal Surround Air Track. (HW-F450). i was able to link the subwoofer to the sound bar and the subwoofer worked for one day. THEN, now all we hear are faint sounds coming from the subwoofer. the SW volume is all the way up to +6 but still no real sound. is it blown? seems unlikely... maybe my sons or wife inadvertently changed a setting that may be causing this? i've studied the manual, re connected the subwoofer, everything, and still no real sound.
any ideas?
